Links with Church

Ladybirds and Hedgehogs classes were welcomed by Reverend Karen and members of the church as they invited us to 'experience Harvest'.  The children learnt about bread, what the raw ingredients are, and were lucky enough to be able to make their own cobs which they took home to enjoy.  Whilst learning about foods that are grown in the ground and harvested, the children had fun printing on sack shaped paper with potatoes.   Moving on the children learnt about the harvest of the sea, they went fishing and each of the fish they caught had a reference to a story from the Bible which they children learnt about.  The final activity was learning about where wool comes from and its uses, then the children used cotton wool to make their own sheep.  

We all had lots of fun and learnt a lot about Harvest.
