Easter Celebrations at Coppice Primary School and Nursery!
We will be having two separate Easter assemblies this year but they are on the same day where we will celebrate this special time of the year and see the Easter challenges that the children have completed!
Squirrels (Reception), Ladybirds (Year One) and Hedgehogs (Year Two) – Easter assembly will be on Thursday 11th April at 9.15am and will last around 40 minutes. The children are going to do an assembly performance of ‘Easter Bunnies and Easter Bonnets’! They will be singing Easter songs and sharing why we celebrate Easter! Reverend David Howe will be joining us.
Badgers (Year Three), Owls (Year Four), Woodpeckers (Year Five) and Kestrels (Year Six) – Easter assembly will be Thursday 11th April at 10.15am and will last around 40 minutes. Reverend David Howe will be joining us for this assembly as well!
At the assemblies we would love the children to share their Easter challenges with everyone!
Squirrels (Reception), Ladybirds (Year One) and Hedgehogs (Year Two) – To make an Easter bonnet
Badgers (Year Three), Owls (Year Four), Woodpeckers (Year Five) and Kestrels (Year Six) – To decorate an egg in an imaginative way!
There will be prizes for the two best bonnets/decorated eggs from each class. Last year there were some very creative ideas and we cannot wait to see what is created this year!
Fox Cubs class (Nursery)
We are inviting Fox Cubs (Nursery) children to make an Easter bonnet and to wear it for a special parade on the EYFS playground on Thursday 11th April at around 11.00am (straight after the Juniors Easter assembly to allow for any parents there to join us afterwards). There will be two winners from the class. We are having stay and play from 10.45am so parents/carers can join us for this special event as this worked so well last year.
Easter egg hunt at Shipley Park for Squirrels class and Kestrels class - Thursday 11th April at 1.15pm
Squirrels class will be going to Shipley Park with their buddies from Kestrels class for an Easter egg hunt! Please make sure your child brings in their wellingtons or walking boots to wear. They can also bring a change of trousers if they wish as it could be cold and muddy!
If you have any questions about these arrangements or our Easter challenges please come and speak to a member of staff!!
