Sports day - Wednesday 19th June 2019

Badgers class (Year Three) and Owls Class (Year Four) Sports Day

Wednesday 19th June 2018 at 9.30am

Dear Parents/Carers,

It is nearly time for our sports day. Fingers crossed that we have a dry morning so we can run the event on the original date!

Here is some information which we hope you will find useful for next week:

  • The event will start at 9.30am on the school field.
  • Please come onto the school field via the playground gate. We will put out chairs along the running track for you to sit on.
  • Your child needs to bring a coloured top to change into to match their colour team. You have been sent a letter informing you what colour team your child is in. If you are unsure which colour team your child is in please see your child’s class teacher or contact the school office.
  • We ask that you do not come up to the children’s sitting area while sports day is in progress. It is confusing to children why they can see some grown-ups with the children whilst their own grown up is across the running track. We need to keep children safe. All the children will bring out their water bottles so they do not need you to bring them a drink or a snack. However at the end of the event we will give you time to spend with your child to congratulate them on what they have done!
  • For safeguarding purposes parents/carers are not to go into school. Please see a member of staff if you need anything and they will help you.
  • There will be 7 races which all children will take part in!
  • The event will last around an hour.
  • At 11.45am there will be an awards ceremony for all children who have taken part in the morning (Years 3 – 6).
  • At the end of the sports day the children will have their ice cream if they have ordered one.
