Starting Reception - September 2026 intake
We are looking forward to you and your child joining our school!! Please see our plans for transition! If you child is not in our nursery then we would love to do a home visit to get to know you and your child. Please ring the school office on 01773 712840 to make an appointment!

During May and June 2026 |
Home visits – Miss Harrison (Nursery teacher and EYFS co-ordinator) or Mrs Bales (Reception class teacher) with Miss Wong (Safeguarding and wellbeing officer) would like to come and meet you and your child for around 30 minutes in your own home. This helps you to put a face to a name and allows you to share information about your child. These meetings have proved so important for making a smooth transition into school so please make sure you ring school to make an appointment which is convenient for you.
When we visit we will bring you your paperwork and a special project for you and your child to work on during the summer term to help with the transition into Reception 😊
Please can we ask that the television is off and other devices away so we can interact with you and your child without distractions.

We have fingers crossed for a nice sunny afternoon but who knows! The plan is that all our new Reception families can come and spend some time getting to know each other in the Reception classroom and the gorgeous EYFS outside area. This will allow parents to see where their child will learn and play from September! |

The children come for an afternoon visit and meet their new classmates! They will have the chance to play in the inside and outside learning environment and meet the EYFS staff who will be working with them during the next year!

Parent’s induction evening in the school hall – meet the staff, tour school and find out about routines.

Thursday 25th June 2026 1.00pm – 3.00pm |
The children come for an afternoon visit and meet their new classmates! They will have the chance to play in the inside and outside learning environment and meet the EYFS staff who will be working with them during the next year!

Morning/lunchtime visit Thursday 2nd July 2026 8.35pm – 1.00pm

The children come for a morning visit and to have their lunch in school so they have the opportunity to meet the midday staff and the ladies in the kitchen who cook our meals! School meals cost £3.25 and we ask that you send this money in a named envelope with your child on the morning. If you wish for them to bring a packed lunch that is fine too!
